Following the success of their previous projects, Phase One and Odabo, Trinity marks a new era for the group, one defined by evolution, collaboration, and cultural impact.
Since their debut, 255 have consistently pushed the boundaries of sound. Their first album, Phase One, featured heavyweights like Minz, Blaqbonez, 1da Banton, Babyboy AV, and L.A.X, setting the stage for their rise in the Afrobeat scene. The trio soon caught the attention of Burna Boy, leading to their feature on his Grammy-nominated album I Told Them with the hit track “Dey Play”.
Their sophomore effort, Odabo, took a bold new direction: no features, just pure artistry. With Charlie of 255 stepping up as the lead vocalist, the album cemented their identity not only as producers but as a full-fledged band. The viral success of “Can’t Fake This” on TikTok, boasting over 50,000 creations, proved their growing connection with audiences.
Now, Trinity takes things to a whole new level. The album is a sonic journey through the heart of modern Afrobeats, blending diverse influences and featuring a star-studded lineup including Victony, Joeboy, Bella Shmurda, Qing Madi, Minz, Oxlade, Midas the Jagaban, Darkoo, NSG, and more.
