Nigerian producer NYRP (Not Your Regular Producer) is set to release his first single of the year, “Take Control,” this Wednesday.
The record features Nigerian vocalist Shorae Moore and Colombian artist EL RM, marking a bold cross-continental collaboration that bridges Africa and Latin America.
“Take Control” is a smooth, emotionally driven Afro-pop record built around confidence, vulnerability, and emotional clarity.
Shorae Moore delivers a soulful Nigerian vocal performance, while EL RM adds textured Latin influences, all anchored by NYRP’s polished, globally minded production.
With this release, NYRP continues to push beyond regional boundaries.
By pairing African and Latin artistry, he reinforces his vision of African producers as global cultural connectors — not just contributors — within international music conversations.
Rather than chasing trends, NYRP is shaping a sound that travels across borders while remaining rooted in authenticity and emotion.
“Take Control” arrives after a strong 2025 run for the producer, whose catalog continues to grow steadily and impactfully. Over the past year, NYRP has worked with L.A.X, Taves, Ayo Maff, Candy Bleakz, King Perry, Terri, alongside several emerging artists.
An alumnus of the Sarz Academy, NYRP’s musical journey began in a church choir at age seven.
His background in live instrumentation and songwriting continues to influence his layered, intentional approach to production.
With “Take Control,” NYRP opens the year with more than a new release — he delivers a clear statement of intent:
African producers can lead global collaborations.
“Take Control” will be available on all streaming platforms this Wednesday.
