Prior to the release of the album, 2Face Idibia was a household name, but only as a member of the boy band, Plantashun Boiz, which Blackface and Faze were members of. However his attempt at going solo in 2004, Face 2 Face, had a successful run on the forum of Kennis Music label, which arguably was the biggest record label in Nigeria at the time.
