Melody Ifeanyi Adigo, popularly known as M.I.A is an hypewoman who understands the importance of music, she’s a curator of sound and a musical alchemist. And even though her infectious energy on stage is undeniable, it’s her carefully curated playlists that truly set her apart.

Her personal playlists, which she uploads on her Instagram page via the link @themelodynotmia have inspired countless aspiring DJs and music enthusiasts. She’s become a role model for women in the music industry, demonstrating that it’s possible to break down barriers and achieve success on your own terms.

In a recent interview, M.I.A lead us into the world of music and its profound impact on her life as a hypewoman. “I curate playlists and each of them have different moods” she explained.

Growing up, she was inspired by artists who had a powerful stage presence and a unique ability to engage their audiences. “Beyoncé was and is my GOAT and look at me now doing just that in my work today”

M.I.A’s playlists are a reflection of her eclectic taste and her ability to read a crowd. She expertly blends genres, from hip-hop and R&B to EDM and Afrobeats, creating a sonic experience that’s both energetic and diverse. As M.I.A explained, “each day comes with a different vibe for me. The other day my vibe was gimmie! Gimmie! Gimmie! (A man after midnight) by Abba.
