Every office has different flavours of people, work styles, and values.
The key to surviving is learning to spot and handle the various personalities you’ll meet, whether it’s your boss, your co-worker, or the cleaner.
Here’s a guide to the types of people you find at the workplace.
(1) The Workaholic:

These are very dedicated workers who treat the office like a second home. They’re always in their seats, or attending meetings.
You can’t help but admire their dedication, even if you wonder if they have a life outside of work.
(2) The gossip mongers:

Meet the office gossip, a fixture in every workplace, always eager to share the latest juicy gist.
These gossip mongers have their ears to the ground, knowing everything about office politics and never missing a chance to talk behind colleagues’ backs. Despite their nosiness, they add a certain flavour to office life, keeping things interesting with their insider knowledge.
I love them so much. Being friends with them means they’ll make sure you’re up to date on everything, from the boss’s love life to the company’s financial ups and downs.
(3) The latecomer:

This type of colleague never shows up on time.
They just want to come late and find a way to leave early.
(4) Beggie Beggie:

Always going around and tasting people’s food.
You can ask Mummy Zee to explain further.
(5) The Quiet Ones:

You will always find them wearing their headphones during work hours to disengage from their co-workers.
FUN FACT: THEY ARE NOT QUIET, THEY DON’T JUST LIKE YOUR DEAD VIBE.
(6) Boss’s Favourite:

You know that colleague who’s always glued to the boss’s side, nodding along to everything? Yep, that’s the boss’s favourite.
They’re like the ultimate “yes-man,” bending over backward to please the boss. They’re on a mission to climb that corporate ladder, so they’ll do whatever it takes to get ahead.
(7) The ones in relationships:

Be it a boss-staff relationship or a staff-staff relationship, your company is not complete if you do not have people dating.
They usually try to keep it a secret, but somehow everybody finds out.
The workplace is a melting pot of personalities, each bringing their own quirks and dynamics to the table. Whether you’re dealing with the workaholic, the gossip, the perpetually late, the team cheerleader, or the boss’s favourite “yes-man,” understanding and navigating these dynamics can make your work environment more enjoyable and productive.
Of course, there are many other types of people you might encounter in the workplace, each adding their own unique flavour to the mix. So, which one do you relate to, or did I miss out on another interesting type?
