As the season is ending. Let’s look at the different types of fans, how they are reacting to the end of the season, and what they are looking forward to for the new season.
(1) Winners:
As a Chelsea fan, I promise you that the best feeling has to be ending the season with a trophy. The feeling can not be put into words. A league trophy, a cup, or even that Bowl they give out in the Bundesliga, just winning anything is important.
(2) We Go Again, Fans:
“next season is our season” You already know them, always troy-less and consoling themselves with “we challenged”, “we were two points off”, “we play good football,” etc.
Chochochochocho, always showing workings but no evidence.
(3) Hate watchers:
As a fan of a club that used to be serious, I am officially in this category.
We are the best types of fans, we know our club is finished, and we gladly accept it.
We take pride in the misfortune of others eg:
Leverkusen losing their unbeaten run to Atalanta.
Arsenal missing out on the league.
Bayern losing the Bundesliga.
(4) Record breakers:
The fans of teams like Aston Villa, Girona, Stuttgart, Ipswich Town, Bologna etc must be having the time of their lives.
They have watched their teams achieve things this season that they haven’t done in years(Or ever).
(5) FPL Winners:
Putting your ball knowledge to use and getting rewarded at the end of the season… sweet feeling.
FPL Managers(or managers of other similar competitions) that have won their mini-league and gotten rewarded with cash gifts or other prizes must be feeling good right now.
(6) Uncertain Fans:
While some fans already anticipate and have expectations for next season|( like one or two signings to address weak areas in the team)| etc.
Some fans don’t even know what is going on; no manager, players wanting to leave etc.
Uncertainty choke, but laslas if things don’t work out, we go hate.
