It’s challenging to stay positive when the world around us feels like it’s falling apart.
Prices keep rising, the minimum wage is trash, and the looming threat of climate change is unsettling (because, what is this sun????) .
Looking ahead, the future seems daunting.

This article talks about a list of things Gen-Z’s are scared of.
(1) NOT HAVING ENOUGH MONEY:
For many of us, happiness is often equated with financial security (because tell me how I am going to be happy, flex, and get the things I long for if I don’t earn enough.)
“Economists have studied what this magical dollar number to happiness could be. Two economists at Princeton University, Angus Deaton and Daniel Kahneman, suggest that money buys happiness, but only up to $75,000 per year.”
If you see me thinking, better know its how I will make $75,000 per year that is on my mind.
(2) FEELING UNFUFILLED:
If this is “the best time of my life,” then forgive me for being scared.
Having seen many of the previous generation merely exist, barely living, the thought is daunting. We often worry that we, too, will fail to achieve anything meaningful in life.
Please, I don’t want to remain in Ikorodu forever nau (the world is too beautiful not to explore) , or be stuck in a job or relationship that drains me.
We yearn for a life that’s more than just a monotonous routine.
Gen-Z’s feel anxious about what the future holds.
(3) NOT FINDING LOVE:
“Infidelity, lack of trust, and barrenness have been identified as some of the major factors contributing to the high rate of divorce in the country.”
The amount of breakfast that gets served in Lagos is enough to feed a continent.

Gen Zers are well aware of how challenging the dating scene can be nowadays. We’re too young to knowingly subject ourselves to heartbreak, to invest everything only to have to start from scratch, and so on.
(4) TENANCY:
Me I don’t want to spend the rest of my life paying one Oga landlord rent from my salary o.
(5) Sad state of affairs:
Everything regarding the future-not just personal, but more on a National and global scale.
Is Nigeria ever going to get better? Will it remain this bad or get worse???
Problems with religion, society, etc. in terms of personal stress, future jobs, the housing market, competition, and all the general fears we face as Gen-Z’s.
